Copper plate inscription reveals first instance of term 'Swarajya'

A 14th-century copper plate inscription found in Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh has revealed the earliest recorded use of the term 'Swarajya Punarudhharana', meaning the restoration of independent state.

Kakatiya dynasty The Kakatiya dynasty was a Telugu dynasty that ruled much of the Deccan region in present-day Telangana and Andhra Pradesh between the 12th and 14th centuries. Their capital was Orugallu, now known as Warangal.
