Arjun Vajpai has made history by becoming the first Indian to conquer Mt. Shishapangma.

Expedition Details: This was Arjun's 8th successful conquest of an 8,000-meter peak.

About Mt. Shishapangma

Mt. Shishapangma, also known as Gosainthān, is the 14th highest mountain in the world.

Location: Situated in the Himalayas, entirely within Tibet, China.

Height: Stands at 8,027 meters (26,335 feet) above sea level. 

First Ascent: First successfully climbed by a Chinese expedition team in 1964.

Challenges: Despite being the smallest of the fourteen 8,000-meter peaks, it presents significant challenges due to avalanches, weather conditions, and technical climbing sections.
