Indian Navy’s 1st Nuclear Submarine Base

The Indian Navy's first nuclear submarine base, INS Varsha, is expected to be operational within the next two years. This base is located near the coastal village of Rambilli in Andhra Pradesh.

Operational Capabilities:

 These nuclear attack submarines will provide the Indian Navy with a unique capability to stay underwater indefinitely, enhancing its ability to guard areas of interest and deter enemy movements.

Strategic Importance:

 INS Varsha will support both current and future nuclear submarines, significantly enhancing India's maritime defense capabilities. Indigenous Nuclear Attack Submarines: India is set to receive its first indigenously designed nuclear attack submarines by 2036.
