ISRO to establish Lunar Space Station for Moo

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced an ambitious plan to establish a moon-orbiting space station by 2040.

Key Details: Phased Approach: ISRO's lunar exploration plan is divided into three phases. Phase 1: Conduct robotic missions to the moon, including the upcoming Chandrayaan-4 sample-return mission scheduled for 2028

Phase 2: Achieve a crewed moon landing by 2040.

 Phase 3: Construct a moon-orbiting space station by 2040, followed by a permanent lunar base before 2050.

Technological Development: The Bharatiya Antariksha Station (BAS), a low Earth orbit facility, is set to begin operations by 2035 and will help test technologies needed for the lunar station.
