Karnataka’s Kallapu-Sajipa riverfront road project

The Kallapu-Sajipa riverfront road project in Mangaluru, Karnataka, has received an additional ₹40 crore in funding from the State government.

Key Details of the Project •

 The road runs along the Netravathi riverfront, improving connectivity between Mangaluru and areas like Harekala, Pavoor, Innoli, and Ranipura

About Netravathi River •

 Origin: 

The Netravati River has its origins at Bangrabalige valley, Yelaneeru Ghat in Kudremukha in Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka. • Length: Approximately 106 km.

It flows westward eventually merging with the Arabian Sea near Mangalore. Tributary: The Kumaradhara River joins it at Uppinangadi.
