Pradhan Mantri Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana (PMVKY) is a comprehensive initiative launched by the Government of India on October 28, 2014 to empower tribal communities across the country.

Key Objectives:

Holistic Development: Focuses on the integrated development of tribal villages and capacity building through interventions in education and livelihood.

Income Doubling: Aims to double the income of every tribal family, with a special focus on migrant families and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).

Sustainable Livelihood: Promotes sustainable livelihood and entrepreneurship in tribal areas. 

Quality Education: Enhances access to quality education for tribal children and emphasizes higher education.

Infrastructure Development: Develops social and civil infrastructure in tribal areas, including road and telecom connectivity, health services, and sanitation. Financial Outlay: Total Budget: ₹26,135.46 crores from 2021-22 to 2025-26.
