The GRAMA project

Objective: The project aims to enhance crop planning, agri-input procurement, and market mechanisms to help farmers make informed decisions and increase their revenues.

Support: The project is supported by NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) and led by Prof. Y Narahari from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

Technologies Used: GRAMA leverages AI, machine learning, game theory, and random processes to develop algorithms for crop price prediction, crop recommendations, and procurement of agricultural inputs.

Data Utilization: It uses existing data on soil types, district-specific crop varieties, demand and yield, historical pricing, seasonal variations, and sociocultural factors to provide actionable insights.
